
The Minister of Public Works, Bishop Juan Edghill, today received a courtesy visit from executive members of the Shipping Association of Guyana (SAG) to discuss the country’s upcoming role as host of a premier regional event.
The meeting centred on Guyana earmarked to host the Caribbean Shipping Association’s (CSA) Annual General Meeting, Conference, and Exhibition, which is scheduled to take place from 26th to the 28th of October.

This flagship event positions Guyana as a central hub for regional maritime and logistical dialogue, showcasing the nation’s rapidly expanding economy and transforming infrastructure to a global audience.
The event is expected to attract hundreds of maritime executives, port authorities, and logistics experts from across the Caribbean and further afield. Furthermore, the accompanying exhibition will provide a premier platform for local and regional business to network, share technological advancements, and explore new investment opportunities within the maritime sector.
